The Trans Canada Trail (TCT) is one of the world’s longest networks of multi-use recreational trails. It is a network of trails that are locally developed and maintained.
TCT is working to support connection of the network of safe, healthful greenway trails, with the goal to be connected from coast to coast to coast by 2017. Greenways are Trails
reserved in the summer for walking, hiking, running, biking, and horseback riding. Blueways will also be part of the network, especially in Northern Ontario, where Trail is for kayaking, rowing and canoeing.
TCT is a national, non-governmental, non-profit organization that supports local trail groups through provincial organizations.
